About JJ Schmidt and Associates

JJ Schmidt is a consultant with more than three decades of experience in the Property and Casualty insurance industry. Throughout his career, he has held numerous senior leadership positions at leading claim and managed care organizations. He has gained extensive expertise in operations, managed care, analytics, information technology, project management, offshoring and outsourcing, and strategic marketing. In addition, he has been responsible for numerous industry-leading program innovations in both operations and technology that have resulted in significant improvements in a variety of claim performance measures. JJ has presented at numerous industry and academic conferences on topics ranging from telemedicine, analytics, technology, and innovation. He has also been published in both trade industry publications as well as peer-reviewed journals.

JJ earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from The Catholic University of America and a Master of Business Administration from St. Thomas University as well as a Ph.D.in Information Systems and Business Analytics from Florida International University. In addition to his consulting work, he is currently a professor at several universities, teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
